Our Wedding Festival
We finally managed to get all the logistics sorted and everybody we wanted (almost everybody!) out to Portugal for a week's celebrations in the wonderful Portuguese hospitality.
The advance preparations were arduous but totally worth it. The invitations sent a month earlier were intended to set the tone of something a little bit different, a little bit fun, something which reflected our choice of location & venue and something which reflected our creativity.
The invitation concept was to include the Portuguese Rooster which is a cool shape & a national symbol of good vs evil. My sister came up with the idea and then our amazing friend Rob figured out the design. I then took all of these concepts and after buying a Gocco (Japanese screen-printing press), we home-printed all of the invitations and envelopes. It involved alot of help from family members but was alot of fun and we were really happy with the result cause we really wanted the invitations to reflect us and the style of design we like as opposed to the more formal wedding invitations which we don't really think is our thing.
